Psychodynamic Psychotherapy recognizes the importance of understanding why a mental health concern has arisen, instead of just treating the symptoms.
Some of our therapists are Certified Clinical Trauma Professionals. This means they have done extra coursework in trauma studies and continually advance their knowledge and skill-set in the latest trauma education.
This type of therapy utilizes play (drawing, crafts, games, pretend people, etc.) for children who do not yet have the capability to sit and discuss their psychological distress. Through play, a therapist can identify themes of particular strengths and stressors and help a child work through their current struggles and heal from past events.
